My name is Jane Rawlings. Previously, I worked as a speech and language therapist for the NHS and later, in my own independent practice.

As part of my job, I provided speech and language therapy input to children on the Special Needs Register (SEN), and enjoyed working in the school setting.

I also worked with children who had communication difficulties but who weren’t on the register.

As part of this, I helped their schools to develop appropriate resources and targets, and strategies to help.

When I finished working as a therapist, I found that this was something I really missed. Being a member of the Advisory Board here at Greystoke is a great way for me to maintain contact with education.
